Member Spotlight: Saundra McGuire Featured at October Conference

In October, Engineerica is hosting their Academic Center Summit 2025 Conference at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. LCLCA member Saundra McGuire will be offering the keynote address!

Dr. Saundra Yancy McGuire is the Director Emerita of the Center for Academic Success and Professor Emerita of Chemistry at LSU. She is an elected a fellow of The American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and The Council of Learning Assistance and Developmental Education Associations (CLADEA). She achieved Level Four Lifetime Learning Center Leadership Certification through the International College Learning Center Association (ICLCA) in 2010. Dr. McGuire has delivered keynote addresses or presented workshops at over 500 institutions in 48 states, in 14 countries, and on 6 continents. Her best-selling books Teach Students How to Learn and Teach Yourself How to Learn have sold over 100,000 copies.

Participating learning center professionals will also get to enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the Student Academic Resource Center (SARC) at UCF. Registration for the conference is still open for anyone who wants to attend the conference, held October 26-28, 2025.
